Free Tool · Audience Avatar Builder
Know exactlywho you’re makingvideos for.
This isn’t a worksheet. The Audience Avatar Builder is a back-and-forth conversation, the same one John has with Boardroom members. It asks, listens, pushes back when you get vague, and doesn’t let up until you can picture the one real person every video should be built for.

Sound familiar?
Most creators can’t answerone question: who is this for?
“I make videos for ‘people who like woodworking.’ That's as specific as I've got.”
“Some videos hit, some flop, and I genuinely can't tell you why.”
“I write titles for the algorithm. I have no idea who the human on the other end is.”
“I've been told to ‘know my audience’ a hundred times. Nobody's ever shown me how.”
Every title, thumbnail, hook, and idea gets easier the second you can picture one specific person on the other side of the screen. This tool builds that person with you.
01 / Why it works
A conversation.Not a checklist.
You’ve filled out the “define your target audience” worksheet before. You wrote “men, 25 to 44, likes tools,” closed the tab, and nothing changed. Worksheets accept your first answer. Your first answer is almost never the real one.
The builder works the way a good coach does. It asks one thing, listens to what you say, and then asks about that. When you get vague, it pushes. When you land on something real, it tells you, and builds on it. By the end you haven’t filled in blanks. You’ve talked your way to a person you can picture.
- —One question at a time, never a wall of fields
- —Follow-ups based on what you actually said
- —Pushes back on vague answers instead of accepting them
- —Offers a real example when you get stuck
- —Ends with a full profile you keep, free, and use however you want

02 / What you walk away with
Not a demographic.A person.
“Men 25 to 44 who like tools” is a spreadsheet row. It doesn’t tell you what to put in a thumbnail. The builder pushes past that until you can describe someone real: what they do all day, what they complain about, what they’d pay to fix.
This is Mark, the avatar behind John’s Unscrewed channel. Yours will look like this, built for your niche.

03 / The process
Ten steps. One question at a time.
The same sequence John uses inside the Creator CEO Boardroom. You never see all ten at once. The builder asks, you answer, it digs into what you said, and it only moves on when the answer is specific enough to actually use.

First name and email. The link unlocks on this page and lands in your inbox so you can come back to it.
02
Have the conversation
It runs inside ChatGPT and talks like a coach, not a survey. Say something vague and it asks a follow-up. Say something sharp and it tells you why that's gold.
03
Keep it. It's yours.
A complete, formatted avatar you can copy, download, print, and hand to your editor. No paywall to unlock it, no upsell at the end. Use it for whatever you want. It's completely free.
The honest FAQ
Asked and answered.
Is this really free? What's the catch?
Completely free, and there isn't one. It's a custom GPT we built and run inside ChatGPT, so you'll need to be signed in there, and a free ChatGPT account works. The avatar it builds is yours to keep. Download it, print it, put it in your team's docs, use it for every video you make from here on out.
Is this just a questionnaire with extra steps?
No, and that's the whole point. A questionnaire takes your first answer and moves on. The builder treats your first answer as the starting point. It asks what you meant, why that matters to your viewer, and what it looks like on a Tuesday night. Most creators are surprised by how much they actually know once someone keeps asking.
How long does it take?
It depends on how much you already know about your viewers. Most of the time goes into answering questions, so set aside a focused 15 to 20 minutes and don't rush the specifics.
What if I have more than one type of viewer?
Build one avatar completely before you start another, and stop at three. Every extra audience you try to serve makes it harder for the algorithm to figure out who to show your videos to.
What do I do with the avatar once I have it?
Two things. First, check every title and thumbnail against it before you publish. Second, feed it into Idea Heist, our ideation tool, so the video ideas it finds are already aimed at the right person.
Why do you need my email?
So we can send you the link to come back to, and follow up with the next step once you've built your avatar. Unsubscribe anytime, one click.
